Relaxation, Rest and Tranquility

So I have been rather MIA for the last couple weeks and that’s because last week I was lucky enough to go on holiday to the Maldives. I decided while I was there that it would be a good idea to kind of switch off from the rest of the world and from life, to have a proper break. And that’s exactly what it was in the end, the holiday I so desperately needed without fully realizing it.

At the beach, I am able to get a breather from everything and suddenly all stress, sadness, anger, whatever it may be, disappears. I think it’s the sun and the warmth but suddenly I just don’t care and wow is that a liberating feeling to have. No one could dampen my mood and I was able to fully recharge my batteries. Thus like it says above, the beach for me provides tranquility, rest and relaxation, and I was lucky enough to be able to go to such a beautiful place to get that R&R.

“Nothing soothes the soul like a walk in the sand”

However, everyone will have their version of the beach, as each person gets relaxation, rest and tranquility in different places.  It could be in the wilderness, in a cosmopolitan city or in the countryside. Thus what is important is to figure out where that place is for you and then take yourself there once in a while.  It’s so critical for everyone to have a break from time to time, otherwise you will just be heading towards a burnout.

And if you can’t manage to get away on a real holiday for whatever reason, find a place close by where you can go even just for the weekend.  Checking out mentally and physically will help re-energize you and set you up for what life has in store for you in the coming period. And trust me, it will help to see things a little more clearly as well.
