Easter Day Outfit

Happy Easter Everyone!Side View

In our family, Easter is an important event, thus we have always had to dress up smartly, our “Sunday Best” as they would say.  And what better time of year than Easter to bring out all the pretty pastel colors in your wardrobe, since in a way this holiday marks the beginning of Spring.  Plus the colors associated with Easter are these pretty pastel pinks, blues, purples, yellows and greens, so might as well get in the festive spirit by wearing them.

3One of the first Easter dresses I remember wearing was when I was like 4 or 5 years old and it was this beautiful multicolored pastel floral dress with the traditional smocking effect at the top.  I loved it so much that it is the one piece of clothing that I have saved from when I was a child.  The colors were just so pretty and colorful that it made me so happy.

For this Easter I found the most beautiful and perfect dress from French Connection a couple weeks ago.  In fact it was the second time I had seen the dress, but the first time I didn’t see the use, as it had been the middle of winter and this dress would not have been appropriate then. When I tried it on I knew it would be perfect for this occasion though.

It’s a really light and airy dress that fits me like a glove and is very flattering.  I love how it’s this light pastel teal color since it fits perfectly with the Easter color scheme I mentioned above.   I definitely feel like Spring is here when I wear this dress. My favorite thing about the dress is that it is really flowy and feminine.  There’s no doubt about it, it’s a very girly dress but that’s part of the fun as it’s nice to dress up really feminine, yet still sophisticated and elegant.  Its simple yet makes a big statement.

I paired the dress with a pair of dark teal LK Bennett court shoes, the same as the famous beige ones that the Duchess of Cambridge wears all the time, just in a different color.  As I have said before, LK Bennett court shoes are one of the most comfortable shoes I own, which is probably why I have them in 3 colors!

Now time to hunt for and indulge in some chocolate!
